Detail Of Services: The work is to take place on Charles Street East from the culvert at Hall’s Creek (Water St) to the west side of Harris St intersection. The contractor is required to completely remove all asphalt surfaces to granular ‘A’ base by use of a milling machine. The existing road base is to be re-graded to the new profile and all structures are to have to frame(s) and lid(s) or grate(s) replaced. The Town and County requires sewer repairs and a water valve replacement prior to base coat asphalt placement. The new surface shall consist of 75 mm of HL8 base coat and 50 mm of HL3 topcoat. Also included shall be the placement of tack coat between surface placements as well as line painting and markings. Also included in the work shall be saw cutting, water valve adjustments, cold mill planning at tie-ins, concrete works associated with curb and sidewalk replacement and all other works contingent thereto and as specified to complete the contract.
