UG Locksmithing Door Hardware

The University has a Locksmith Shop within the Physical Resources Department, the role is as following: Install and ensure ongoing maintenance of all keyed locking systems including door, cabinet/desk and pad locks as well as related physical door hardware on the University campus. The lock shop also provides support to the electronic access group to maintain access control infrastructure that is integrated with physical hardware. Locksmith Shop will:• Cut additional keys as required• Establish lock system standards for the University• Provide locksmith services when keys are lost or misplaced or otherwise compromised• Sign out keys required by University departments • Sign out keys to and collect key deposits from external contractors• Maintain electronic records of key associations and key sign-outs through Megamation and Key Wizard programs. The Shop requires many different types of keys, locks, hardware, and related products, some of which will be held in inventory, and some ordered on an as needed basis. It is the University’s intention to enter into the agreement with one (1) legal entity. The term of the agreement is to be for a period of five (5) years, with an option in favour of the University to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of up to two (2) additional one (1) year terms. The top-ranked proponent at the conclusion of evaluation will be invited to enter into negotiations for an agreement with the University. All proposals submitted are to be in English only. Interested proponents are to download the complete RFP documents free of charge at the University’s public purchasing portal https://uoguelph.bonfirehub.ca (the Portal).
