Inquest into the death of Ismet Dakaj announced

Dr. Kenneth Peckham, Regional Supervising Coroner for Central Region, Central West Office, announced today that an inquest will be held into the death of Ismet Dakaj.

On June 27, 2014, the 46-year-old construction worker, was struck and killed by a dump truck while working on a site in Milton.

The inquest is mandatory under the Coroners act and will examine the circumstances of Dakaj’s death. The jury may make recommendations aimed at preventing further deaths.

Approximately eight witnesses will be heard from over three days.

The inquest will start at 9 a.m. on June 8, 2021 via video conference. And can be viewed at www.youtube.com/occinquests.
