SAULT STE. MARIE. – Mike Moore Construction Ltd., a prominent institutional, commercial, and industrial (ICI) general contractor in Northern Ontario, has announced a major leadership transition, with five long-term employees forming a new shareholder group to acquire the company.
The new ownership team consists of Gabe Goulay, Jarvis Milne, J.R. Shuttleworth, David Robertson, and Marty Moore. According to a company announcement on Monday, the new shareholders have a combined 56 years of experience working within the firm.
Founder and President Mike Moore and Vice-President Fern Moore will remain with the company for the next five years to ensure a smooth and successful transition.
“For over 35 years Mike Moore Construction has provided quality construction services to the Sault Ste. Marie & Algoma area,” the company said in its public statement. “And now the time has come to turn a new page and position the company for future success.”
Under the Moores’ leadership, the company grew from what it described as “humble beginnings” into a multi-million dollar business and a recognized leader in the regional ICI construction industry. The company stated that clients can expect “more of the same great service” under the new leadership structure.
“We are excited for this new chapter and what the future will hold,” the statement concluded.
