PCL Construction was recognized with three national awards from the Canadian Construction Association (CCA), celebrating excellence in environmental leadership, innovation and emerging industry leadership.
The Environmental Achievement Award recognizes leadership and exemplary environmental conduct within the Canadian construction industry. PCL received the award for the ten-storey, net-zero mass timber educational facility, Limberlost Place in Toronto. The project has become a global model for mass timber sustainable construction and was recognized for its strong environmental performance and sustainable construction practices.
The Excellence in Innovation Award was presented to PCL for its Beeline submission, a digital construction optimization suite that transforms manual field-run tray routing into a data-driven, semi-automated process — enhancing productivity, reducing rework and enabling early work packaging across industrial projects.

The Young Leader Award, recognizing individuals under the age of 40 who demonstrate strong leadership, was won by Senior Project Manager Sara O’Malley, for her leadership and contributions on multiple projects large-scale healthcare projects, earning national recognition among peers across Canada.
“These national recognitions are a tremendous source of pride for PCL and reflect the passion, expertise and leadership our teams bring to their work every day,” said Mike Wieninger, chief operating officer, Canadian Operations, PCL Construction. “Being recognized by the Canadian Construction Association for environmental leadership, innovation and emerging leadership speaks to the breadth of talent across our organization and our commitment to advancing the industry in meaningful ways.”
