Ontario Construction New staff writer

The City of London is looking for feedback regarding developer-maintained subdivisions that are currently have incomplete infrastructure, ongoing construction, unfinished sidewalks, and minimal landscaping.

Services in these subdivisions are guided by a subdivision agreement between the developer and the city, outlining each party’s responsibilities while construction continues. Residents have had concerns about unfinished sidewalks and curbs, homes under construction, limited landscaping, vacant lots and blocks that may be undeveloped or blocks that contain stockpile of dirt for an extended time.

A neighbourhood coordinator who works with developers, builders, city councillors, and city staff to address construction-related concerns and ensure “resident satisfaction is balanced with construction progress.

The launch of the Get Involved page is a new resource that will provide updates and resources. Also, the city has a feedback form available until Dec. 16, to collect comments and concerns: https://getinvolved.london.ca/developer-maintained-subdivisions
