The County of Simcoe supported the completion of 112 housing projects through the 2025 age-friendly senior’s housing grant program, addressing the growing demand for accessible, age-friendly housing options across the region.

Since Simcoe County Council approved an annual allocation of $500,000 in 2018, the program has helped advance 559 accessible, adaptable, and inclusive housing projects that enable older adults to age safely and independently in their homes.

“Supporting older adults to live independently, safely, and comfortably is a priority for our Council,” said Warden Basil Clarke. “The Age-Friendly Seniors Housing Grant Program continues to make a meaningful difference across our communities by helping residents adapt their homes and improve accessibility.
