Women in Construction 2025: Paving the way for a more inclusive industry

The construction industry is evolving, and Women in Construction 2025 is at the forefront of change. Scheduled for March 3 at 1 p.m., the virtual event will bring together industry professionals, aspiring tradeswomen and advocates to discuss the future of women in construction.

The event aims to expand trades programs, improve workplace safety, and drive professional development, ultimately increasing the industry’s talent pool. Attendees will engage with industry leaders, explore career opportunities beyond traditional trades, and participate in interactive panels addressing key topics such as work-life balance and professional growth. The event will also emphasize the role of affinity groups in fostering inclusivity within the field.

Discussion panels include:

1:05 p.m. – 1:55 p.m. | Inclusivity in Training

  • Moderated by Rosie Hessian, this session will focus on attracting, retaining, and training the next generation of construction professionals. Panelists Lorna Harnum, Leslie Dibling, and Cheyanne Hammell will discuss strategies for inclusive training programs that support all workers on the jobsite.

1:55 p.m. – 2:45 p.m. | Transitioning From Tools to Management

  • Moderated by Macenzie Rebelo, this panel will examine career advancement from on-site roles to leadership positions. Lisa Laronde, Christene Feist, and Lindsey McGarry will share their experiences and insights on moving into management in a male-dominated industry.

2:55 p.m. – 3:20 p.m. | Law Kahoot: Let’s Talk Law

  • Jack Burton will moderate this interactive session led by Luiza Vikhnovich, using a Kahoot game format to test participants’ knowledge of workplace rights, labor laws, and harassment protections.

3:20 p.m. – 4:10 p.m. | Safety/Belonging on the Jobsite

  • Moderated by Jen Mutas, this panel will feature Andrea Martin, Dianne Finnigan, and Carolyn Aumiller discussing strategies to create a secure and welcoming work environment for all employees.

The event will conclude with closing remarks at 4:10 p.m., summarizing the day’s key takeaways and discussions.

Registered participants will gain access to the virtual keynote, live sessions, on-demand recordings, and product demonstrations.

This event provides an opportunity to engage with industry leaders and contribute to the ongoing transformation of the construction workforce.
