A long-term care home in Guelph has reopened following renovations.
New construction added 29 beds to the 85-bed Elliott Long Term Care Residence to better serve Guelph residents. This project is part of the government’s commitment to building 58,000 new and upgraded long-term care spaces across the province.
“Congratulations to the team at The Elliott Long Term Care Residence on all the hard work that went into opening this expanded home,” said Tyler Allsopp, Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Long-Term Care. “Our government is building new and redeveloped beds so all long-term care residents can get the care they need from the comfort of their own home. Today marks an important milestone for the people of Guelph and the future residents who now have a new place to call home.”
Operated by the City of Guelph, the home is part of a campus of care that includes a retirement home and independent living. These buildings, along with the long-term care home, are connected to a community centre hub which is accessible to all residents and their families.
